Medication-Assisted Treatment is the use of medications alongside counseling and behavioral therapy as part of a holistic approach to the treatment of substance abuse. Medication is primarily used when an individual’s addiction involves opioids like heroin and some prescription pain relievers. Medication-Assisted Treatment is designed to normalize brain chemistry, block the euphoric effects of alcohol and opioids, decrease cravings, and regulate body functions. We accept patients with or without insurance, but we do NOT bill insurance or Medicare. If your health plan covers medications, we will complete necessary prior authorizations. If you have a high deductible private insurance plan, we will assist you in completing the HCFA form to submit a claim to your insurance. We are unable to accept new Medicaid patients at this time.
